Hitch RV Announces the Acquisition of Berks Mont Camping Center

Hitch RV is pleased to announce the acquisition of Berks Mont Camping Center located in Boyertown, PA.  Hank Shellenberger, who has been the backbone of Berks Mont Camping Center for over 26 years, is pleased to announce his well-deserved retirement.  Hank has built a superior business and has treated his customers as family.

Scott Hayden, General Manager of Hitch RV, stated, “We are pleased to carry the torch going forward for such a great company, along with the tradition and values that the Schellenberger family has maintained”.  This acquisition adds to the other three Hitch RV locations in Berlin, NJ; Milford, DE; and Columbia, SC.

"Hitch RV will continue to carry the brands that Berks Mont Camping Center has carried along with adding a few other core brands."


Hayden added, “We will be bringing our best practices and processes along with higher stocking levels and our Best Price Guarantee.  Our aggressive pricing structure allows us to provide customers with affordable fun”.

"The future is very bright for Hitch RV.  We have developed the resources to continue to acquire additional locations.  Sadly, the days of Mom and Pop locations are fading away and it’s to the point that growth is the only option.”
