It’s camping season, RVers! Many people have been inside the last few months and are ready to get out, and what better way to do that safely than to go to a campground and spend time outdoors? We’ve got our top pick of camping destinations in the Carolinas, which we know you’ll love! With so many places and activities to explore, you’ll have whatever type of vacation you want–relaxing in your new RV or adventuring in the mountains of the Carolinas.
Whether it’s fishing or swimming or kayaking or canoeing, you’ll have plenty to do in the mountains at Bear Den Mountain Resort & Campground. They do not require a fishing license, so you can take your whole family for an afternoon of fishing. Swimming will be great for those hot summer days, and if you need a break you can relax in the game room (which has pool tables, air hockey, and arcade games).
The kids will have a lot to do on their own, including playing basketball on the basketball court. They also have a place to play volleyball, table tennis, shuffleboard, and horse shoes. The playground is perfect for those earlier mornings when you want to take your kids to enjoy the sunshine.
Not only there is a lot going on at the campground itself, but you’ll almost be overwhelmed by the amount of activities to choose from within the mountains of the Carolinas. With winding trails, caverns, and live music at the Altapass Orchard, this secluded area is fun for the whole family.
The campsites are extremely nice, with wooded areas for your RVs to slip right into. If you love your own privacy, this is the campground for you (accommodating to RVs up to 40 feet). Anyone who loves the outdoors will love this area surrounded by the mountains and forest.
They also have recently remodeled buildings, including their bathrooms and camping store. So not only do you get the adventure of the mountains, but you also get to enjoy the luxury of the newer campground areas.
Sounds like a great place to camp, right? We thought so, too.
