Summer is almost here and that means we’ll be spending a lot more time outside. That’s what RVing is all about! Summertime is, without a doubt, the most popular time for families and friends to get together to hit the lake. But you have to be prepared or you could be suffering miserably in the heat. Here are a few products that our partner, Blue Dog RV, keeps on hand that will make your Summer vacation even more fun!
When it gets dark in the Summer, it get pitch black. If you’re miles away from civilization, then it gets even darker. Liven up your campsite with a set of awning lights. When you’re outside, under your awning, or gathered around a campfire, the more light you have, the better. After all, there’s no telling what you might trip on or step into. Plus it makes your RV more festive and noticeable to the people around you. You can get them in multiple colors, in ropes or in globes. Check out the awning lights section for the entire selection!
I’m not talking about just any chair, I’m talking about a comfortable, padded, chair that once you sit down in, you maynot want to get up for a few hours. Are you a rocking chair fan? A fan of kicking your legs up and taking in the breeze? Then there’s a chair built just for you. After a long day out on the lake, or on the hiking trails, there’s hardly anything like sitting around a campfire or grill to relax and recuperate. Check out the chairs section and get one on order!
Dare I say that the grill is the single most important accessory to bring with you for every vacation? I don’t know about you, but I stock my freezer full of meat before every trip I take in my RV. There’s nothing like spending some quality time in front of a grill with a pair of tongs in your hand. There’s something therapeutic about it, for sure. Nowadays you
can purchase grills for just about any situation. There are campfire grills, one-time use grills and on some RVs, there are hitch mounted grills! That all sounds like music to my ears! Take a peek at the grill section and be sure you’re prepared to cook the best burger you’ve ever had.
Summer is when bugs are the worst. Mosquitos will eat you alive, almost. It’s always a good idea to have some sort of bug repellent in place. Be it citronella candles, a bug repellent lantern, or a good old fashioned bottle of bug spray. No one likes being bitten by mosquitos and it’s always better to ward them off than have to deal with their stings. Plus, you’ll lessen your chances of catching on of the many diseases that they carry.
